Zam is Jonathan Newsome's one-man bedroom band. The music is a blend of real and synthesized instruments, alongside samples from old records and from friends, all strung together and processed by aleatoric methods. The lyrics are a stream-of-consciousness mishmash guided by chance and free-form decision making. The result is a spacey dream into which I ask you to insert your own meaning.
